Pharmacy Industry Award Penalty Rates 2026

Published Saturday, Sunday, public holiday and evening rates for the Pharmacy Industry Award (MA000012), effective 1 July 2026. These are the resulting hourly figures from the pay database — not calculated from a base rate.

Higher penalty rates generally apply to trading outside ordinary daytime hours. For pharmacy that usually means evening shifts, work on Saturdays and Sundays, public holidays, and any overtime worked beyond the ordinary hours.

The Pharmacy Industry Award does not set separate weekend or public holiday penalty rates in the pay database for these classifications.
