Level 3.1 Pay Rate 2026
As of 1 July 2026, a Level 3.1 under the Educational Services (Schools) General Staff Award (MA000076) earns a published minimum of $29.49 an hour ($1,120.75 a week, about $58,436 a year) full-time before tax.
The Educational Services (Schools) General Staff Award covers the non-teaching workforce in schools. It applies to primary and secondary schools and the support staff who keep them running, rather than the teachers themselves. That takes in school office and administrative staff, teacher aides and learning support assistants, laboratory and library assistants, information technology and audiovisual staff, groundskeepers, maintenance and cleaning staff, and boarding and residential supervisors. The classification levels rise with the skill, qualifications and responsibility of the role, so the award reaches everyone from entry-level assistants to experienced technical and supervisory staff across a school.
